Mr. K. Nakai
TEIN USA R&D Manager
My Background
I am currently the R&D Manager at TEIN USA. My duties include new all application development for TEIN lowering springs and coilovers. Before coming to the US 3.5 years ago, I worked at TEIN Japan as a design engineer and motorsports engineer for 7 years. My duties in Japan as a design engineer were to develop new coilover systems. As a motorsports engineer I traveled to all the circuits in Japan to support all TEIN sponsored Tarmac racing vehicles, including Gymkhana, JGTC, and many cup races. I now continue my motorsports support in the US for TEIN USA sponsored vehicles in Rally America, Honda Challenge, Time Attack, Formula D, D1GP (US Rounds), and P-WRC (globally).

Greetings everyone! Welcome to my classroom. I will be updating this page with suspension and suspension tuning knowledge to help educate you, the users. TEIN products will be used to reference different types of designs, features, functions, and adjustments in suspension products. In my classroom I will cover everything from the basics of a suspension all the way to the fine tuning of coilovers. In order to be effective to a large audience, I will try and keep everything simple and easy to understand.
