Upper Mount w/ Camber Adjustment* -
Upper mounts are included for front and rear. TEIN utilizes various designs of upper mounts to increase steering response while still maintaining quiet operation. Most kits include an aluminum upper plate with NWB pillowball, while some applications use an aluminum upper plate with hardened rubber bushing (reduced noise).
*Vehicles with a strut type front design, a camber plate is incorporated into the mount, which gives 0-3 degrees of camber adjustment depending on the application.
Hardened Rubber Upper Mount -
Hardened rubber upper mounts are included for both front and rear. Features include an Aluminum upper plate with hardened rubber bushing for increased steering response. As well as a rubber ring around the top of the mount for noise reduction. This mount was specifically designed to not only increase steering feel but to also reduce any suspension noises for a quiet ride.
Damping Force Adjustable -
Damper includes 16 - way damping force adjustment for both front and rear coilovers. Compression and rebound is adjusted simultaneously for ease of adjustment. Adjustment is made externally via a Click Assembly, and made internally via a needle valve which allows or restricts oil flow. Damping force can be changed to tune ride feel (comfort/ performance level), and/or used to adjust handling characteristics (neutral, over-steer, under-steer, etcc).
Damping Force Adjustable -
Damper includes 16 × 16 - way damping force adjustment for both front and rear coilovers, which allows each damper to be set to a possible 256 different adjustment combinations. Compression and rebound are adjusted separately for increased tuning capability. Adjustments are made externally via a Click Assemblies, and made internally via a needle valve which allows or restricts oil flow. Damping force can be changed to tune ride feel (comfort/ performance level), and/or used to adjust handling characteristics (neutral, over-steer, under-steer, etcc).
Damping Force Adjustable -
Damper includes 20 × 20 - way damping force adjustment for both front and rear coilovers, which allows each damper to be set to a possible 400 different adjustment combinations.
Damping Force Adjustable
Damper includes 32 × 16 × 16 - way damping force adjustment for both front and rear coilovers. High speed compression is 32 way adjustable, low speed compression is 16 way adjustable, and rebound is 16 way adjustable. This enables each damper to be set to a possible 9,537 different combinations for complete tuning.
Ride Height Adjustable -
Vehicle ride height adjustable via a threaded shock body and adjustable spring seat. The threaded sleeve is welded to the actual shock body and then Zinc coated for added protection. TEIN engineers have performed vigorous testing to ensure the best possible position and range of the spring seat to ensure the most adjustability. Aluminum spring seats are utilized to reduce ceasing of spring seat to threaded body, and for improved durability.
Full Length Adjustable -
Vehicle ride height and spring pre-load can be adjusted independently. Ride height is adjustable in two ways: a. adjustable shock length, and b. adjustable spring seat.
a. The lower mounting bracket can be adjusted, thus changing the overall length of the shock, and therefore altering the vehicle's ride height. This also allows the user to determine suspension travel and droop.
b. The adjustable spring seat allows for independent adjustment of spring pre-load without affecting vehicle ride height.
Aluminum spring seats are utilized to reduce ceasing of spring seat to threaded body, and for improved durability.
Advance Needle Technology -
Adaptation of our newly developed needle design allows for a greater change in damping force with over a 200% increase in damping range within a 16-level adjustment, giving the end-user a higher level of damping optimization for various road conditions.
Twin Tube Internal Design -
A Twin Tube internal design is utilized for increased piston stroke for improved handling and comfort during street use. Another major feature of the Twin Tube design is that is more durable in the case of damage to the actual damper body.
Mono Tube Internal Design -
A Mono Tube internal design is utilized for increased oil capacity, improved heat dissipation, and larger valving. Other features of the Mono Tube design are quieter operation, and ability to use stiffer spring rates for racing applications.
Increased rigidity on strut type vehicles, in which an inverted coilover construction is utilized.
MICRO SPEED VAVLE (M.S.V.) -
This new system allows for improved comfort through more precise oil flow control inside the damper. MSV is most effective at low speed damping, and is therefore most effective during street driving.
External Reservoir Tank -
Allows for increased oil capacity and increased heat dissipation, which allows the damping force to remain more consistent during long term use. Most effective in racing applications where the vehicle is run for extended time periods.
Only available on SA type dampers in which compression and rebound are separately adjustable.
EDFC Compatible -
Allows for direct fitment of the EDFC system. For a few vehicles slight trimming of interior panels may be required for proper fitment. EDFC will allow the user to adjust the damping force from inside the vehicle via a control unit and small stepping motors.
