| The 2008 Super Lap Battles (SLB) Finals took place on Nov. 12 at ButtonWillow Raceway. Considered by many as the biggest Time Attack event in North America, SLB drew some of the top tuners, manufacturers, and privateers from the US and Japan. | The TEIN staff of 5 were able to provide support for both sponsored vehicles and product users. TEIN staff are in no way a professional motorsports team but instead enthusiasts who enjoy the competition and camaraderie. Ryoh Takizawa, Assistant R&D Manager of TEIN USA, commented that 90% of all TEIN products used in this event were mass production and still retained off-the-shelf damping force. Spring rates and alignment were of course changed to meet driver and vehicle needs. Events like this help improve our products, and keep us on the forefront of suspension tuning. |
